Meltdowns & Shutdowns: Strategies to Help Your Child Cope with Frustration & Anger

Meltdowns are usually caused by weak assertiveness, problem-solving, & coping skills. Well intentioned caregivers
can accidentally escalate situations by using a mismatched support strategy with certain levels of frustration.
Attendees will discover a framework to understand and support four levels of frustration including a compassionate
meltdown safety plan. Additionally, you’ll learn proactive preventative coping language to help your child keep calm
& decrease the frequency & intensity of tantrums

A series of workshops for Caregivers with guest speakers on a variety of different topics in areas you may need and want to learn more about to help you create a full network of support for your family’s needs. A time to come together with other caregivers to learn ways to practice wellness and find time to take care of yourself. Come be able to connect with others, connect with yourself and connect with the community.
